Stillness Within: In this 3-part Meditation workshop, you will learn how to cultivate a meditation practice, or to deepen a practice you already have. Everyone is welcome, no prior experience is needed. Perfect for anyone seeking to start or expand their mindfulness practice.
What's included:
Over 3 weeks, you will meet in community with fellow yogis in 90-minute sessions. You are welcome to join one, and we encourage joining all 3 as ach week will have a different focus and build upon one another. First, you will learn the benefits of meditation and how to approach mindfulness through self-study, compassion, and acceptance; then you will be guided through various techniques to focus your energy, using the mind, body, and breath as resources; and finally, traverse practical applications to integrate meditation into your life as you continue to support and build your practice off the mat.
About your instructor:
Alex Skaliotis has been a yoga instructor since 2015, and teaches a practice that is influenced greatly by mindfulness and allows the asana to become a moving mediation. Alex graduated from the Mindfulness Mediation Teacher Training program under the tutelage of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and has been meditating for more than 15 years. He regularly attends silent retreats, and teaches yoga and meditation classes to share the benefits of this practice with the wider community.
